SKEGNESS
"Skegness is
so Bracing!", so the slogan goes.
The Skeggy Jolly Fisherman is 100 years old this year!
The foreshortened pier.
There is now a huge wind farm in the Wash.
The Pleasure Beach and donkeys.
Of course, we indulged in all the usual seaside pleasures!
Mmmmm!
There used to be a theatre
on the end of the pier, it was destroyed in a storm in 1978.
I remember seeing Norman Wisdom perform there in the seventies.

INGOLDMELLS
We decided to call in at Ingoldmells, a place I knew well thirty-odd years ago. I remember a sleepy little seaside village, but was shocked to find it had turned into Las Vegas!
Meanwhile more, old fashioned pursuits at Mablethorpe....
...and a beautiful day to just sit on the beach.
