14/15th July 2007

I was looking forward to posting pictures of this year's Rempstone Steam Rally, but sadly due to the dreadful weather the organisers had to cancel the show.
We refused to be downhearted and decided to cheer ourselves up by packing up our buckets and spades and heading for the seaside and here we are in....

.......HUNSTANTON!

The Le Strange Arms

The huge beach at Old Hunsanton

The stripy cliffs (explanation click here).

Wreck of "The Sheraton" - built 1907, grounded 1947.

Pony rides.

Oh no, it's the WASH MONSTER!!

This amphibious craft was built for the American Army and used in the Vietnam War.

A trip on the Wash Monster enabled us to get really close to all the kite surfers and wind surfers who were making the most of the fabulous conditions today.

They make it look so easy!

And at the end of a beautiful day Hunstanton treated us to a breathtaking sunset.
(Sorry, it was so beautiful, I got a bit carried away with the camera!)
