An Everards pub, so all the usual suspects (Original, Tiger, Beacon) - nice cobs!

Loughborough Carillon and War Memorial Tower
Located in Queens Park in the Centre of Loughborough, this tower was built in 1923 in memory of local men who died during WW1. It houses a museum and the Carillon itself, which is a musical instrument consisting of 47 bells. There are regular recitals of different types of music.

The bells were all built at the local Taylors Bell Foundry and range between
4.25 tonnes and 20 lbs in weight. They are rung by forcing a clapper down onto
them via a keyboard or "clavier".

View from the top of the tower (46 metres and 138 steps!) -
you can see Loughborough Church on the left and the Town Hall on the right.

Another view from the tower - looking towards Loughborough University.

Looking down into Queens Park, still warm enough to enjoy a picnic in
the park, but the first signs of Autumn already evident.

A quiet corner of Queens Park for the ducks.
